Bayern Munich brought forward to this winter the signing of Bryan Zaragoza from Granada, who was expected in the summer due to Kingsley Coman's torn knee ligament and Serge Gnabry's muscle injury.
The problem is that, just over a month after his arrival, he has only made one appearance. He came on as a substitute against VfL Bochum for around half an hour and since then has only been on the bench.
His coach was asked about this in his press conference ahead of this weekend's game against Mainz 05 and admitted that his lack of knowledge of English and German is the reason for his limited playing time.
"What Bryan Zaragoza lacks is the language. English and German are difficult for him and that is a key element. We brought the transfer forward to buy some time. It was already clear to me that this was a big step for him.
"Now, we realise it. We see the quality he has, but also that the integration is not complete because of the language part. That's why we need more time," explained the coach.
