However, it has been claimed that Liverpool could be competing with Bayern Munich for either man’s signature as the German giants look for Thomas Tuchel’s replacement. A report from Spanish outlet Relevo has reported that De Zerbi is one of the possible candidates for the Bayern job.
The Brighton boss is said to have a €14m release clause, previously reported as £8.5m, and his side received plenty of plaudits last season.
