But the manager committed his future to the German club just last week. That leaves Sporting boss Ruben Amorim as the favourite, although other names have also been floated about.

One of Liverpool’s reported managerial targets Ruben Amorim has refused to follow Xabi Alonso’s example and guarantee that he will remain at Sporting Clube de Portugal beyond the current season. The Portuguese boss was asked about his future in a press conference on Friday afternoon.
When asked if he can guarantee he will be at the club next season he answered with: “No, I can't guarantee that."
