Antonee Robinson 'likes' Liverpool transfer request as Fulham defender fuels speculation

Fulham defender Antonee Robinson has fuelled speculation of a move to Liverpool after liking a comment asking him to join the Reds.

Reports first began to emerged last month linking Robinson with an Anfield transfer due to injury setbacks sustained by Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas leaving Jurgen Klopp without a senior left-back.

The ECHO made clear Liverpool have no interest in the former Everton man, however, and are not in the market for a player in that position. Tsimikas recently signed a new long-term deal while Robertson is expected to be back before the end of next month having been out since October following shoulder surgery.

Joe Gomez has deputised to great effect in this area in the absence of the aforementioned duo, meanwhile the Reds also moved to recall Owen Beck from his loan spell at Dundee FC to serve as another option.

Robinson may not be a player on the Reds' radar at present, though it seems the USA international is certainly not opposed to the prospect of this idea. After spotting one fan write "plz come to Liverpool" on his Instagram page, the 26-year-old chose to like this message to prompt debate on social media as to whether or not this should be an avenue to explore for Klopp.
