Arnaut Danjuma's agent has hinted at the possibility of the Everton star cancelling his loan spell with the club.
Michael-Moses Jarman, the agent for the Dutchman, has suggested the midfielder will leave Goodison Park this January.
The 26-year-old, who previously had spells at fellow Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Tottenham, is a target for French Ligue 1 side Lyon.
He is expected to leave Merseyside due to a lack of game time under Sean Dyche and did, in fact, previously turn down the Toffees before turning out for Spurs.
Danjuma was the first person to leave Tottenham following Antonio Conte's departure in the summer, after the club opted against exercising the £27million purchase option.
He therefore returned to his parent club, Villarreal, before heading back to the Premier League and joining relegation-threatened Everton.
Speaking about Danjuma on White and Jordan, Jarman was asked about whether he may be on the move.
To which he said: «There are conversations afloat, we've had interest.
»Look, he's happy and settled at Everton, he's got a contract, so it's only respectful that that's the way the conversation stands.
«He's not getting his minutes at the moment under Mr Dyche and what's best for his career is to play football.
»So yeah, there's been interest and conversations ongoing with Lyon, it's been reported in the media, that's why I'll confirm it."
Danjuma, who has failed to establish himself as a starter under Dyche, has scored just two goals in 17 games in all competitions this season.
It remains to be seen whether the Toffees dip into the transfer window for a ready-made replacement.
Everton are currently 17th in the Premier League standings, one point above the relegation zone.
