It was always going to be a nervy few weeks for Arsenal. The Gunners are currently leading the way in the Premier League title race, but it was at this exact stage last season that things started to fall apart.
Just prior to the international break Arsenal lost William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu to season-ending injuries. It was a setback they would never recover from. Rob Holding was forced to come in at the heart of defence and the Gunners would go on to win just three of their last nine games.
This time around they seem to be handling things a lot more cautiously. Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli have already pulled out of the Brazil squad due to minor injuries. Gabriel Jesus, Thomas Partey and Tomiyasu were also not called up to international duty as they recuperate from longer term issues.
The latest player who they're exercising caution with is Bukayo Saka. The 22-year-old was withdrawn from the England squad with an issue he reported to St. George's Park with.
football.london understands that it's a minor muscle problem. It's thought to be purely precautionary, although it's still not clear if this will impact his chances of playing against Manchester City in the first game back after the international break.

That day it was Jesus on the right wing, with Eddie Nketiah up top. Leandro Trossard meanwhile was on the left wing.
