Arsenal have seemingly already made their decision on signing Ivan Toney this summer. The Brentford striker has been the name on many people's lips for a move to a bigger club in the summer transfer window.
Toney, who was banned from football for eight months for gambling breaches, will enter the final year of his contract with Brentford this summer and the striker has made no secret of his desire to move on.
Speaking as he returned from his gambling ban, he said: «You can never predict when is the right time to move elsewhere, but I think it's obvious I want to play for a top club.»
The frontman scored from the penalty spot for England on Tuesday night as the Three Lions drew 2-2 with Belgium in a friendly. It was his first goal in an England shirt and his fifth in 11 games for club and country since returning to action in January.
Arsenal are among a number of clubs to have been credited with an interest in the Brentford striker, while Chelsea are also thought to be interested. The Gunners are on the lookout for a new striker this summer, with links to the likes of Viktor Gyokeres strong too.
But Toney does not look likely to be moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Brentford will be looking for a fee in the region of £100million, although that may be difficult given his contract status.
