Arsenal leaked kit for next season 'shaped like a bottle' mocked by Spurs fans

The alleged Arsenal home kit for next season has got Tottenham fans saying the same thing - that the distinctive red body is shaped like a bottle!

On X (formerly Twitter), an account called Football Headlines has shared images of what is believed to be the new Gunners' home shirt for the 2024-25 campaign, with blue side labels alongside the red body and white sides.

But it was not long before rival fans - and even a few Gooners - noticed that the shape of the main red part of the shirt looked like something else.

'The red part looks like bottle', one user wrote, alongside laughter emoticons.

One Spurs fan just posted a picture of a red drinks bottle, while another wrote: 'Love the bottle design in the middle… #AdidasKnows #Bottlers' accompanied with three crying laughter emojis.

The placement of the shirt in front of bricks for one of the shots was also mocked.

'Bottle on the wall? Amazing haha' wrote another Tottenham supporter.

'Adidas made a bottle for Arsenal to continue the legacy' wrote another cheeky fan.

One Gooner also noticed the similarities in the design, writing: 'Even Adidas is making fun of us "bottling"'.

The 'bottlers' tag has been applied to Arsenal for their inability to see a successful campaign through to final success.

Their well-publicised shortcomings last season despite leading the Premier League for so long have been followed up this term by losing top spot last weekend with defeat to Aston Villa, and exiting the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich.

Arteta admitted this week 'wasn’t the best experience', but said Arsenal were glued in to the title race, starting with Saturday's trip to Gary O'Neil's Wolves.
