Jakub Kiwior is attracting interest from sides in Serie A, football.london understands.
The Polish international arrived from Spezia last January for a fee that could rise to £21million, but has yet to nail down a regular place in Mikel Arteta's side. He has made just eight starts for Arsenal this season, with much of his football coming in his unfavoured left back position. It is hard to see the situation improving any time soon for Kiwior with Gabriel an integral member of the team in his preferred left centre back position and Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu both ahead of him in the pecking order at left back.
Despite a lack of game time though, Kiwior still has plenty of admirers in Italy including AC Milan and Napoli. Reports linked the 23-year-old to an exit in January, but any interest will now have to wait until the summer.
The case for an exit is only furthered by the fact that Arsenal are interested in a move for Ajax's Jorrel Hato. The Dutch international can play at centre back and left back and will turn 18 before the summer transfer window opens meaning that Arsenal will be able to make an offer for him in line with post-Brexit regulations.
Whether the Gunners look to do that is likely to be based on whether Hato signs a new contract with Ajax. The youngster has just under 18 months remaining on his current deal in Amsterdam but will be able to sign a new long-term contract when he turns 18 in March. Ajax remain confident of getting the extension over the line in a move that would significantly raise Hato's price tag.
