Kylian Mbappe confirms PSG exit date after Arsenal transfer 'green light'
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly informed PSG of his intention to leave the club in the summer. The 25-year-old is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.
The future of the France captain has been a long-running saga. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are among the English clubs to have been tipped with a move for the forward alongside Spanish giants Real Madrid.
It has been reported by the Athletic that Mbappe has told PSG that he will be leaving the club at the end of the current campaign, though terms are yet to be finalised. Journalist David Ornstein has explained that PSG will save €200m-per-year when Mbappe leaves the club and will focus on building a youthful team. PSG and Mbappe are expected to announce the decision when terms are fully agreed.

The 25-year-old was briefly exiled from PSG’s first team in the summer after refusing to trigger a 12-month extension to his contract. That decision is claimed to have solely rested with Mbappe, much to PSG’s frustration, but he was soon reintegrated into the squad. Despite the noise around his future, Mbappe has scored 31 goals in 30 games so far this season.
The Independent recently stated that Mbappe has already received an offer from Real Madrid, who have long been touted as his next destination. As his contract is ticking down, he is free to discuss pre-contract agreements with clubs outside of France.
