Arsenal supporters have urged Jurrien Timber to 'come back stronger' after he posted promising pictures on social media. A sickening debut saw the Dutchman suffer an ACL injury on the opening day of the campaign.
The nightmare start came just weeks after the promising youngster made a £38million switch from Eredivisie giants Ajax. Initial fears emerged about Timber potentially missing the rest of the season but football.london understands a March return is targeted.
On social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the defender posted pictures of himself working out in the gym as he tackles the long road to recovery. Among the comments was Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, who also skippers Timber at international level. The Reds centre-back posted a love heart and raising hands emoji.
Arsenal teammates William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko also posted similar well-wishes, with the latter writing “together” on his Instagram post. Gunners fans were also quick to wish their summer signing a speedy recovery.
One user wrote: “The entire fanbase is firmly behind you in your comeback! It’s gonna be mighty.” Another fan anticipated big performances from the Dutchman when he returns to action next year.

Keep that head up.” Arsenal fought off reported interest from Manchester United and Liverpool to sign Timber in the summer. A versatile defender, the 22-year-old can operate at right-back or centre-back and starred for his country in the Qatar World Cup.
