Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have delivered emphatic reviews of England's new home shirt after Nike unveiled the Three Lions' home and away kits for Euro 2024.
With less than three months until England kick off their European Championship hopes in Germany, Nike has confirmed the fresh home and away designs for the England men's, women's and para teams. The strips will be worn for the first time by the men's team during the current March international break.
The England men's team are set to host friendly games at Wembley against Brazil (23 March) and Belgium (26 March), as part of their Euros preparations. Just in time for these matches, the new home and away kits have been launched.
The home shirt sticks to the classic white design, but adds a blue collar and stripe down the side, along with red and blue cuff details. The away kit is a bold purple, featuring a graphic side panel with seven different colours. The England badge and Nike logo shine in gold.
Arsenal and England team-mates Saka and Rice will be certainties for Gareth Southgate's Euros squad barring injury, and were both delighted with the strip they will be wearing this summer. Saka said of seeing the home shirt for the first time: «It is unbelievable. I think this is the best kit we are going to wear and that I will have worn. It has a classic look and the collar is top. It is ten out of ten.»
Rice added: «This kit is a ten, a classic. It is proper retro; it feels like the 1966 kit.»
