Arsenal take on Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, January 7.
Despite their ongoing battle in the Premier League title race, today serves as a pivotal moment for both teams to preserve their hopes of securing silverware this season.
No side has won the FA Cup more than Arsenal as they're the only team to win it 14 times. However, Liverpool have also been successful in this competition in the past, winning eight titles in their storied history.
The two rivals battled out a 1-1 draw at Anfield just over two weeks ago but the form of the two sides since is rather contrasting. Mikel Arteta's men suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of West Ham and Fulham, whereas Jurgen Klopp's Reds took maximum points against Burnley and Newcastle United.
