A Barcelona legend, and former Premier League flop, has been sacked from his role as head coach just six motnhs after taking over.
Not many players can make the successful transition into management after hanging up their boots, and it looks like this has been proven once again.
Back in June, Patrick Kluivert was appointed head coach of Adana Demisrpor in the Turkish top flight.
However, after nine wins, six draws and five defeats in 20 matches, he has lost his job at the club.
An official statement read: 'By mutual agreement, we have parted ways with our Coach Patrick Kluivert.
'We would like to thank Mr. Kluivert and his team for their contributions to our club and wish him success in his future career.'
Kluivert leaves his first role in club football as his side are sat 5th in the league, after a run of four matches without a win.
His squad boasted the likes of former Premier League stars Mario Balotelli and Nani, but he was unable to produce results when it mattered the most.
It remains to be seen as to whether Adana have a new man lined up to replace the former Premier League flop, who was unable to make the impact he had at Barcelona when he moved to Newcastle.
Kluivert's son, Justin, is proving that he could leave a better legacy than his iconic father in England, impressing in the early stages of his Bournemouth career.
Having previously managed Curacao, for a year in 2015 and then an interim spell in 2021, it's unclear as to whether Kluivert could look to return to international management.
