Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has explained that the club will not be looking to Jurgen Klopp in the summer as they attempt to find a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.
Much like Liverpool, the Bavarian side have also announced ahead of time that their head coach will be departing come the end of the season. Although in totally different circumstances, the two clubs look set to be intertwined moving forward.
Bayern have made Xabi Alonso their top target to take over from Tuchel, whilst the Reds are also heavily linked with the Bayer Leverkusen boss. The Bundesliga champions-elect remain determined to keep the former Liverpool and Bayern midfielder, but will be tested in their resolve.

At least one of the two European giants will be left disappointed with the outcome of Alonso's future. They are already planning for that scenario as well, with Liverpool said to have added Roberto De Zerbi to their shortlist of possible new managers.
Bayern were interested in Stuttgart's Sebastian Hoeness, who is related to former player and president Uli. He has just signed a new long-term deal with one of the league's surprise packages, though.
Regardless of which way the summer goes, Eberl will not consider trying to convince Klopp to jump straight into another job. The Reds fan favourite is set to take at least a year out of the game after announcing his decision to step down following nine years in charge.
