After finding the net in the last two away matches, Toney could become the first Brentford player to score in three consecutive Premier League away games.
Toney will take confidence from the fact he enjoyed a successful outing in his only previous away appearance against Man City.
The striker scored a 98th-minute winner to wrap up a brace and a 2-1 victory in Brentford's most recent trip to the Etihad Stadium in December 2022.
As a result of that victory, the Bees have the opportunity to become just the second club to win consecutive away league games against a team managed by Pep Guardiola.
