Stade Brestois have found themselves on the wrong end of some questionable refereeing decisions in recent matches, and according to L’Équipe, the club’s president, Denis Le Saint, will send a letter to the governing bodies, requesting that VAR be scrapped.
Brest’s 2-0 loss against AS Monaco, just before the international break, was notably punctuated by controversial decisions. In a post-match press conference, attended by Get French Football News, manager Eric Roy, as well as Jérémy Le Douaron, were incensed by the decisions, describing the refereeing performance as “scandalous” and “incompetent”.
