Bubbling Kieran Tierney rumour brutally flatlines as Arsenal future 'set' and PSG clue set to reveal all
Scotland hero Kieran Tierney's Arsenal career is entering the end game – according to report.
Gunners insider Charles Watts believes the former Celtic star would have exited permanently last summer if a deal could have been struck before he joined Real Sociedad on loan. Tierney has turned heads in the Basque country, however, the injury bug has struck and his time in La Liga could also come to an end in the summer. Javi Galan – who started against Celtic in the Champions League earlier this season – joined on loan from Atletico Madrid and has earned regular minutes at left-back.
And now all eyes are on Sociedad's team sheet for their Champions League last 16 clash with PSG to see who gets the starting gig between the two temporary options. But it appears certain Tierney will not play again for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. Speaking on his Youtube channel, Watts said: “I think Tierney’s time at Arsenal is coming to an end. I don’t know where he’s going to go in the summer, Arsenal are open to selling him permanently. Last summer they couldn’t do that, no real bids came in for him, so they sent him off to Sociedad.
"Whether Sociedad will turn out permanently in the summer, we’ll have to wait and see. He’s made a good impact there, but he has had injuries again which have disrupted his season…I don’t see a way back for him at Arsenal.”
Tierney has two years remaining on his Arsenal deal and was valued in excess of £30m when he was in full flight with the Gunners with calls for Arteta to make the rampaging full back his captain.
