He may be on loan at Preston North End for first team experience, but Calvin Ramsay is the star of Antoine Griezmann's Football Manager 2024 save.
The Atletico Madrid striker has taken the virtual reins at Blackburn Rovers and is attempting to guide the Ewood Park club back to the English Premier League. He's making a decent fist of it so far, with Rovers sixth in the Championship and the Frenchman claiming that the board are keen to tie him down on a longer deal.
And former Aberdeen star Ramsay is the signing that's pleased him the most. In real life, the former Liverpool loanee is not long back from injury at Deepdale and has made just two appearances for Ryan Lowe's team. But in Griezmann's world, Scotland international Ramsay is his first choice right back and leading the charge towards the promised land that is the English top flight, as he picked out the defender in an FM-themed interview with ESPN - even if he couldn't remember his name.
Interviewer: "Are you playing FM 24?"
Griezmann: "Yes."
Interviewer: "With which team?"
Griezmann: "Blackburn."
Interviewer: "And how's it going?"
Griezmann: "I'm in the First Division, in sixth place"
Interviewer: "No complaints from the board?"
Griezmann: "The board are very happy. They want to renew my contract."
Interviewer: "Who have you signed this season?"
Griezmann: "Oaft, a young right back who was at Liverpool. he's Scottish, but I can't remember the name!"
