A new injury has struck Real Madrid again. This time, it is Dani Carvajal who has to stop due to physical problems in the soleus of his left leg.
The Spanish international had to withdraw from Saturday's match against Granada. On Monday he underwent tests to confirm the injury. He will be sidelined until 2024.
"Following tests carried out on our player Dani Carvajal by Real Madrid's medical services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the soleus muscle in his left leg," said Real Madrid in a statement.
Thus, Carvajal will miss between three and four weeks, reported 'COPE', and therefore will not be in any Real Madrid match for the remainder of 2023. In other words, he will miss the games against Betis, Union Berlin, Villarreal and Alaves.
Real Madrid are one of the great candidates to win La Liga who are suffering the most injuries in this first half of the season, followed by Barcelona, Atletico and Girona.
Carvajal's injury joins other important injuries such as Vinicius in attack, Tchouameni and Camavinga in midfield, as well as the already known injuries to Militao and Courtois in defence and in goal.
Little by little, Ancelotti is recovering some players, such as Kepa, who saw the game against Granada from the bench, and Arda Guler, who hopes to make his debut in the coming weeks.
