Fulham were apparently considering Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Tottenham as a replacement for Palhinha. Meanwhile, football.london understands Spurs remain interested in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
And if Hojbjerg was sold to the Cottagers, then Tottenham would be handed more funds in order to try and test the Blues' resolve when it comes to Gallagher. Plenty of Chelsea fans have been left happy with how things have unfolded, if the domino effect is indeed true.
