Chelsea get injury boost as five wonderkids in training before Preston FA Cup clash

Preparations are well underway ahead of Chelsea's first FA Cup clash of the season. Mauricio Pochettino and his side welcome Preston North End to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening as the sides face off for the first time since 2010.

On that occasion Nicolas Anelka and Daniel Sturridge scored the goals to separate the sides in the fourth round of the competition. The Blues will hope things can proceed so simply once again this weekend.

The game comes off the back of a win at Luton Town and crucially seven days between games after a busy festive period. That could see the Blues able to name a strong team, or afford the opportunity for players to build their fitness. Rotation could be on the cards ahead of a tight turnaround to Chelsea's clash with Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup too.

Of course, in cup competitions, Pochettino has not looked to completely overhaul his team. Instead, making small adjustments to allow rest where required has been his route. What insights could this week's training hold to the head coach's decision?
