Liverpool star addresses Caicedo U-turn
"I thought maybe they needed experienced midfielders or something like that, because [Jordan] Henderson had moved, and also Fabinho had moved to another club, so I thought there may be a chance," Endo told the Liverpool Echo.
"To be honest I followed Liverpool’s news that they wanted midfielders and they wanted a No.6. But yeah - I thought [Moises] Caicedo had gone to Liverpool! So when he went to Chelsea I just thought 'maybe, maybe'."
Caicedo breaks his silence
On Instagram, Caicedo apologised for his role in Chelsea's defeat and promised to right his wrongs. He wrote: "It wasn’t the debut that I expected but I’m happy to get my first minutes with this big club. We’ll keep working hard to put this team where it deserves. Thanks to the fans who are supporting me."
Vlahovic clue
Chelsea look to have been dealt a major blow to their hopes of signing Dusan Vlahovic. The 23-year-old striker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer as Mauricio Pochettino hopes to further bolster his frontline despite having already signed Nicolas Jackson.
While Vlahovic may be a popular option among sections of the Blues fanbase, his heart seems set on staying at Juventus. After scoring for the Old Lady on the opening weekend of the new Serie A campaign, the Serbian penned a classy message on Instagram.
