Chelsea to unleash dream Caicedo plan as Shields makes Romeo Lavia and Michael Olise progress
Chelsea may have signed Moises Caicedo but the club's transfer momentum is showing no signs of slowing down this summer with more additions expected this week. football.london understands that the club have activated Michael Olise's release clause with their bid to Crystal Palace and also agreed a fee that could reach £58million with Southampton for Romeo Lavia.
There has also been no shortage of departures with Kepa Arrizabalaga, Harvey Vale and Cesare Casadei all leaving on loan following the Blues' clash against Liverpool this weekend. Academy prospect Ben Elliott has also left for Reading on a permanent deal.
Joe Shields is said to have played a pivotal role in moving for Lavia and Olise, as Chelsea attempt to finalise their squad before the transfer window shuts in just over two weeks' time. The Blues' spending is set to reach more than £900million should they be successful.
