Sean Dyche suffered his heaviest defeat as Everton manager as his side were torn apart 6-0 by a rampant Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge in their first fixture since being handed a new two-point deduction, their second sporting sanction of this season.
Cole Palmer was the main architect of the Blues’ downfall as he ran riot with four goals on the night, the last of which came from the penalty spot while Nicolas Jackson and substitute Alfie Gilchrist netted the others but while their hosts were on form, the visitors made it too easy for them at times with some slack defending and a rare blunder from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
