France manager Didier Deschamps has noted Arsenal defender William Saliba has to improve on his overall game in order to see increased game-time at international level.
Saliba has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta's side over the past two Premier League campaigns but has found minutes in a French shirt hard to come by in that period.
Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate, Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano and Inter Milan's Bejamin Pavard have all been preferred to Saliba in recent outings.
23-year-old Saliba has started six games for Deschamps' Les Bleus but did not feature in their 2-0 defeat to Germany.
"Saliba is playing a good season (with Arsenal)," Deschamps said. "But I see him alternating things which I like a bit less. With the French national team, he gets less playing time.
"When he has got some, it hasn't always gone well. I'm aware that I put him in a context that wasn't always easy. The current pecking order doesn't favour him, but he's there. He'll get some game time on Tuesday."
