Dale Taylor will spend this season on loan at Wycombe
Nottingham Forest striker Dale Taylor has joined League One side Wycombe Wanderers on a season-long loan deal, while his Northern Ireland team-mate Bailey Peacock-Farrell is being linked with a move to Danish side Aarhus.
Teenage striker Taylor spent the second half of last season on loan at Burton Albion, scoring five goals in 20 appearances.
The 19-year-old made his senior international debut for Northern Ireland in November 2021 as a substitute in a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
“Dale is a player I’ve been tracking for a long time,” said Chairboys boss Matt Bloomfield.
“I know there were a lot of clubs at this level trying to bring him in, so it’s a fantastic signing for us and I’m delighted that we’ve got it done.
“He scored against us back in March and I went up to Burton to watch him against Cambridge in April. He showed me all the attributes of a player I wanted in my team and we’ve been chasing him ever since.”
Taylor has made one appearance for Forest, as a substitute in an EFL Cup tie, since signing from Linfield in July 2020.
Peacock-Farrell, who has played 39 times for Northern Ireland since making his debut in 2018, spent the 2021-22 season on loan with Sheffield Wednesday in League One.
Despite being linked with moves to Wednesday and Birmingham City, the Burnley shot-stopper could join Aarhus, the Danish Superliga side who were eliminated from the Europa Conference League by Larne in 2021.
Peacock-Farrell was back-up for most of last season to Kosovo international Arijanet Muric as Vincent Kompany’s side strolled to the Championship title.
