Northern Ireland striker Dale Taylor is certain that his old boss at Linfield David Healy would be a hit if given the chance to manage across the water.
Healy, who has guided the Blues to five League titles, was linked with the vacant job at League Two club Grimsby Town earlier this month but has insisted all his focus is on bringing more silverware to Windsor Park this season.
Taylor (19) was given his Linfield first team debut by Healy at the age of 15 and says he learnt much from Northern Ireland’s record goalscorer in his time with the club.
In 2020 Taylor moved to Nottingham Forest and is currently on loan at Wycombe Wanderers having been at Burton Albion on the same arrangement earlier this year.

“David Healy was a big influence. I worked with him at Linfield and picked up different things from him,” said Taylor ahead of the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying double header against Finland and Denmark.
“The way he coached and took different sessions, I would say that I looked up to David growing up.
“He is doing a top job at Linfield and has the ability to manage across the water.
“He is brilliant with the strikers because he was an attacking player himself.
“Any striker would benefit from David being their manager as he will show them how to score goals.”
