What Jurgen Klopp presented Mohamed Salah in Liverpool dressing room after 200th goal
Jurgen Klopp has revealed the reaction of the Liverpool squad after Mohamed Salah scored a landmark 200th goal for the club.
Salah became only the fifth player to reach a double century for the Reds – following Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, Gordon Hodgson and Billy Liddell – when netting a 76th-minute equaliser in the Premier League clash at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
And when asked about the 31-year-old’s remarkable numbers with Liverpool, the Reds boss said: “Pretty impressive, huh? We’ve carried that shirt for two weeks now and finally we could give it to him! It was pretty much the best moment to score it, to be 100% honest.
“It’s an incredible number for a super, super special player. I don’t know how often he saved us with the goals he has scored in the right moments. It was a pretty loud reception in the dressing room when I gave him the shirt with the 200 on the back. Players were asking for a speech but I had to go and do the media work!"

Roy Hodgson criticised Virgil van Dijk for his role in Jordan Ayew being sent off in Crystal Palace's 2-1 defeat by Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
Ayew was first booked by referee Andy Madley for preventing Van Dijk from taking a quick free-kick, not being stood the required distance of ten yards apart, and collected a second yellow moments later for fouling Harvey Elliott as he looked to spark a counter-attack.
This dismissal proved to be the turning point in the contest, with Liverpool scoring one minute later
