'Deluded, obsessed' – Chelsea fans send Arsenal brutal message over Smith Rowe transfer swap

Chelsea fans have laughed off suggestions from Arsenal supporters that the two clubs could put together a player-plus-cash deal involving Emile Smith Rowe and Mykhailo Mudryk.

On Monday there were several reports that said Chelsea were interested in signing the out-of-favour Smith Rowe from the Gunners before Friday's transfer deadline. The 23-year-old is yet to feature in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta this season and has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

The Blues are chasing a versatile attacker before the window closes, football.london understands, so Smith Rowe certainly fits the sort of profile the club are looking at. Arsenal and Chelsea have done some business recently as well, with the likes of Jorginho and Kai Havertz swapping the west of London for the north of the capital over the past eight or so months.

But Arsenal supporters are still reluctant to sell to Chelsea, especially Smith Rowe who has been very much a fans' favourite since he broke into the first-team under Arteta. One way they could be persuaded, though, is if Mudryk, who the Gunners tried to sign in the January transfer window, was involved in the deal.

In fact, some of them were calling out for just that on social media on Tuesday. Chelsea supporters, however, are not so keen on the idea of seeing the Ukraine international leaving Stamford Bridge and moving to north London.
