Galatasaray are considering a possible bid for Donny van de Beek when the transfer market reopens, according to reports, amid suggestions that contact has already been made with key figures at Manchester United.
Van de Beek signed for United from Ajax three years ago. However, the move has been a nightmare for him as United continue to overlook him, even after appointing the manager who nurtured him in Amsterdam. During his latest press conference, Erik ten Hag confirmed van de Beek will be allowed to depart United in January as the 26-year-old mulls over his options. Galatasaray are said to be among them.

Reports from Turkish outlet Sporx flag up proposed interest and suggest initial discussions were even held last week. United were in Istanbul for their latest Champions League Group A game and key figures who attended that fixture are claimed to have sat down with their Turkish counterparts.
Van de Beek cost United around £40million and United will almost certainly take a massive loss on that outlay. He remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2025, though, which does offer some protection.
Elsewhere, reports from Football Insider say United are willing to explore a move for another defensive midfielder when the market reopens, despite signing Sofyan Amrabat on loan this summer. The 27-year-old has yet to make a mark for the Premier League giants after joining from Fiorentina.
United have an option - not obligation - to make the deal permanent for €20million next summer. However, in the same article, concerns are raised over his long-term suitability for the club.
