Eddie Nketiah gives five reasons why Arsenal can beat Liverpool and Man City to Premier League title

Eddie Nketiah has listed multiple reasons why Arsenal can beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season. Last season, the Gunners were just weeks away from crowing themselves champions of England but, after William Saliba picked up an injury, they conceded first place to Pep Guardiola's side.

Despite topping the table for large spells of the campaign, Arsenal fell short. Instead of indulging in self-pity, the north Londoners have mounted yet another bid for the title and currently sit second with 55 points – just two adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's side have also chalked up two point advantage over the reigning champions, who – in fairness – have a game in hand. In an interview with the Daily Star, Nketiah insisted that he and his teammates are determined get their hands on the club's first Premier League trophy since 2004.

«We're hungry,» said the 24-year-old striker, who sees his contract at the Emirates Stadium expire in 2027. «We want to do well and we want to achieve things. We've got a good group on and off the pitch, which really helps. We had an excellent start to the season, but we can do more, we can improve.

»We're pushing each other to be the best versions of ourselves. Every experience you have you're better for it. We're all a year older — and with a year of more experience — so hopefully we can use what we learnt from last season and really apply it.

«There's a lot of quality all over the pitch. We've got players competing for positions. That's going to hold us in good stead as we get into the latter stages of the season.
