UEFA has divided the 24-team tournament in Germany next summer into three regions to reduce travel and carbon emissions.
England could be in for a tricky group in the Euro 2024 draw on Saturday. Gareth Southgate’s men could face Hungary, Holland and Italy, which could therefore lead to a repeat of the Euro 2020 final.
UEFA has divided the 24-team tournament in Germany next summer into three regions to reduce travel and carbon emissions.
The draw ceremony will feature soccer stars including David Silva, Sami Khedira, Wesley Sneijder, Miroslav Klose and Gianluigi Buffon.
England boss Southgate said: “There look like being really strong teams in pot two and pot three looks like it could be very strong. In the last Euros we had Croatia in with us, who proved to be one of the best teams in the world over the last few years and we managed to navigate that so we’ve just got to be ready for whatever comes our way.”
Munich will host the opening game on June 14, while the final will take place in Berlin on July 14. Other host cities include Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen and Stuttgart.
