Host nation Germany will join favourites France, England, Portugal and Spain in the draw for the first phase of the competition. In total, 21 teams will learn their fates today, with the final three places at the finals set to be determined by the playoff round in March.
The format sees teams allocated a place in one of four pots. They will then be drawn at random from each pot in turn as the groups are compiled. Every group will contain at least one team from each pot, ensuring a fascinating mix of national sides for the opening phase of next summer's tournament.
