Evan Ferguson names Liverpool star as ‘best I’ve played with’
Evan Ferguson has eulogised Alexis Mac Allister and called the Liverpool star his most talented ever team-mate.
The Reds pounced quickly in the summer to make the Argentine one of the marquee names of Jurgen Klopp’s midfield rebuild. A stellar campaign last year resulted in Mac Allister helping Brighton qualify for Europe for the first time in their history.
However, it was his exploits at international level which propelled the midfielder into global superstardom. After missing the shock opening-game defeat to Saudi Arabia, Mac Allister was thrown into the Argentina side and starred as his nation clinched a historic World Cup in Qatar.

Liverpool signed the 24-year-old for around £35million and he has shown his versatility at Anfield, with Klopp deploying him in a deeper role than usual.
One man who knows all about the midfielder’s talents is Brighton star Ferguson, who has been linked with a possible move to a 'big six' clubs like the Reds in the future. The Seagulls reportedly slapped a hefty £120million price tag on the 19-year-old in the summer and this week tied him down to a new long-term contract.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Ferguson named Mac Allister as the best player he has played alongside. He said: “The best I’ve played with? Probably Alexis (Mac Allister). He’s obviously gone to Liverpool now, but I enjoyed playing with him. He’d always look forward and look for that penetrating pass.”
Ferguson also confessed to admiring England captain Harry Kane. Both 6ft 2in and traditional, all-round strikers, many have already drawn comparisons between the two.
