Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai is a player in the mould of Steven Gerrard with the youngster capable of doing everything in midfield.
That is the view of club icon John Barnes, who believes the 'incredible' summer signing has been the Merseyside outfit's 'best player' so far this season.
The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews since the Reds activated his £60million release clause at RB Leipzig in July.
Featuring in 17 out of Liverpool's 18 matches in all competitions so far this term, he has chipped in with two goals and as many assists.

Szoboszlai is part of a new-look Liverpool midfield, who parted ways with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner at the end of the last campaign.
Along with the former Red Bull Salzburg maestro, Liverpool also brought in Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo.
But it is Szoboszlai that has impressed Barnes the most, as he insisted Klopp's style of play is getting the best out of him, whereas if he was at either Arsenal or Manchester City, he would struggle.
Speaking of the player during his appearance on the Hawksbee and Baker show, Barnes said: «Szoboszlai has been incredible.
»I'd kind of heard about him before, but I've never see him and that's how good the scouting is, because Liverpool sign players who will suit the way Liverpool play.
«I don't think he'd suit Man City or Arsenal, and he probably wouldn't go there!
