Everton got their season up and running on Saturday evening, as they produced a brilliant performance to win 3-1 at Brentford.
Goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure, James Tarkowski and Dominic Calvert-Lewin saw the Blues pick up their first victory of the campaign. Brentford had levelled earlier on through Matthias Jensen, but Sean Dyche's side dominated throughout.
The victory moves Everton on to four points from their six games, with home matches against Luton Town and Bournemouth to come before the international break.
Chris Beesley was in attendance for the ECHO in the capital and had the pleasure of rating the travelling Toffees players.
Jordan Pickford 6
Will have been disappointed to be beaten by the first shot he faced as Mathias Jensen’s low effort went in off the post but there was little he could do about it, although he survived a misplaced clearance in the second half.

Maintained his discipline and produced a composed display after picking up a booking in the first minute when Keane Lewis-Potter, a late replacement for Kevin Schade who was injured in the warm-up, stole a march on him and was hauled down.
Vitalii Mykolenko 7
Positive display from the Ukraine international as he looked to get forward when possible, was picked out for a chance that fell to his weaker right foot and was unfortunate not to get back and block Jensen’s shot for the equaliser.
James Tarkowski 9
Strong in the air, he headed Everton back in front from a corner after earlier setting up their first goal when his flick-on picked out Doucoure with one of several dominant headers he won.
