What's the latest team news, specifically Micky van de Ven and Richarlison?
Yeah, they are the only two. Everyone else is sort of the same as last week. Micky, nothing too significant. He’ll miss tomorrow. But we’re quite confident if the recovery goes well with the international break, he shouldn’t miss too much more. I think he came off at the right time to be honest. So while he misses tomorrow, it’s still positive. Richy, he trained today so we’ll just see how he pulls up. If he pulls up OK, he’ll probably be available.
Last week’s win at Aston Villa, what did it do for your belief?
It didn’t do anything for my belief. But it kind of helps when, in what was built up as a significant game, I like the way we handled the whole day to be honest: the build-up to it. It’s a difficult venue when their supporters get right behind them. They’ve been pretty formidable at home. I thought we handled the whole day really well, played well, stayed really focused. I thought it was another sign of growth for us as a team. Players obviously feel good after that but also understand that the reason we got that outcome was because they were really focused and just played our football.
If you got into the Champions League, would it accelerate the progress at the club you’re so desperate to deliver and would it mean you could sign better players?
Look, I think I said last week, that just depends how you utilise that opportunity. Just getting to the Champions League or just being a participant doesn’t guarantee anything, bar a few games some good opposition. It’s about using that opportunity for growth.
