What's the latest team news?
First thing is all the internationals got through unscathed. Most of them got meaningful game time too which is important so they've all come back all good. Micky's the one who missed the last game, he's trained the last couple of days and is available.
What have you made about the controversy around the post-season friendly in Australia?
I guess with all these decisions there's always going to be conjecture and scrutiny around why they're made. But from our perspective, like any club, you weigh up the benefits and costs of doing something. For one reason or another, we haven't had a lot of games this year and there was a unique opportunity for us to have a game at the end of the year. I'm obviously part of that discussion and we are mindful of the players and the schedule. We weighed it all up and thought it was going to be really beneficial for us as a football club, and we've gone that way.
Everyone could see Ben Davies making a passionate speech to the Wales squad after their penalty shoot-out defeat, does stuff like that make you proud?
Yeah, I love players playing for their national teams, I know what it means to them and for me. Ben's an outstanding character. I sensed that straight away in the way he carries himself, the way he thinks about the game, the way he thinks about his position in the game, the influence he can have. From my perspective, the more of those kind of guys you can have in a dressing room, it helps you make sure the standards and environment you want to create is going to be one to take us to another level.
