Why did you want Cole Palmer? What will he bring?
Expect him to make an immediate impact?
We have to be careful with young guys because like experienced players they need time to settle. He will move from Manchester to London, and London is different, the club is different, the culture and everything and before he starts to perform, he must settle. He must find his space and feel comfortable. We are not going to put pressure on him to perform like any player. Most important now is to be calm and to be happy and to find his space in the team.
Last signing?
I think so. If something is going on I don't know because last time I spoke to the sporting director was 11 o'clock, nearly two hours. I don't know, if something will happen they will communicate to me after the press conference.
How do you spend the day? Ringing sporting directors?
We are happy with the squad, I don't believe something will happen in the next few hours in terms of players in. We are always in contact. I am not going to spend time, we need to keep energy for tomorrow. We have very good communication between owners and sporting directors. Waiting for things to happen, in terms of signing players, I don't believe.
More spending this summer than in your 11 transfer windows with Spurs? Impact on you?
I think we need to explain the realities. In the same way we sign, we sell players. It is not fair to say anything wrong about my former club, it is more about net spend than the money you spend. That is the balance the club tries to get. I think it was a different project, different circumstance. We feel comfortable of course, we need to settle all of the players who arrive
