Mykhailo Mudryk came in for more criticism following Chelsea's shock defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Blues have yet to find consistency under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino this season, with the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge making it two defeats, one draw and just one win to start the Premier League campaign.
Mudryk signed for Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in an £88million deal in the January transfer window, having looked set to join London rivals Arsenal througout the January transfer window.
Since that hijack, the Ukrainian has faile to live up to his billing though. He is yet to score for the Blues, providing just two assists. And in the 19 matches he has played, Chelsea have won just twice.
Gabby Agbonlahor described his performance against Forest as «absolutely useless». Speaking on Talksport he said: «Mudryk came on and he nearly gave away two goals! He was absolutely useless. He’s had 19 games, zero goals and they haven’t got a style of play.»
Pochettino has been happy with the youngster, claiming that he'll get better with time and that he has hope Mudryk will show his true potential in the near future.
«Today he played 45 minutes,» Pochettino explained after the 3-1 loss to West Ham earlier this month. «I think he's a young player who we need to trust and build these relationships with us and the team.
