Former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi was involved in part of a mass brawl following a violent fan invasion after Fenerbahce's 3-2 win over Trabzonspor at Papara Park on Sunday night. Ex-QPR man Bright Osayi-Samuel punched a supporter on the field as well whilst Batshuayi tried to kick another.
The Belgian's team had just celebrated their away victory with a late goal scored by himself when a lone Trabzonspor supporter entered the field to taunt them. Security tackled the masked supporter, but that didn't stop a scuffle with Osayi-Samuel.
The former-Championship player chased the invader, landed a punch, and climbed on top of him as he was being apprehended. He had managed to break free from his teammates.
As stewards chased the first invader, more fans flooded onto the field, leading to moments of conflict across the ground. Amidst the chaos, a staff member signalled for Batshuayi to leave the pitch.
However, as he did so, the striker tried to intercept a fan heading towards the dugouts. The 30-year-old only managed a glancing blow before security stopped the invader, reports the Mirror.
Osayi-Samuel, 26, moved to Fenerbahce from QPR in 2021 after kicking off his career with Blackpool. The Nigerian star has played 126 matches for the Turkish team.
