Former Liverpool player Naby Keita, who cost the club £50million in 2018, has only played 80 minutes all season for Werder Bremen and hasn't been seen on the pitch since October.
The 29-year-old joined Liverpool after a successful two years with Bundesliga team RB Leipzig. Despite the excitement around his arrival, fans had to wait a year for him due to an agreement that he would spend one more year in Germany. Keita started well in Liverpool, winning both the Champions League and Premier League. However, injuries plagued his time at Anfield, causing him to miss a huge 95 games over five years. His contract ended last summer and he was let go from the club.
Now back in Germany with Werder Bremen, Keita's injury woes have continued. He was sidelined as early as July after getting an abductor injury during a pre-season friendly against Oldenburg. The player had to sit out the first four matches of the season due to an injury. He finally got to play for a minute in the game against Cologne.

In his next two games, he played for 79 minutes but then got hurt again in the match against Hoffenheim in October. Since then, he hasn't been able to play because of his injury and some issues with his behaviour that upset the club's bosses. A report from German news outlet DeichStube says that Keita has not won the trust of the top people at Bremen. They're worried about his behaviour and the fact that he's often late.
It's said that Keita has been late to meetings many times and has even said no to going to several events for sponsors.
