Chelsea full-back Malo Gusto can count himself incredibly lucky after only receiving a yellow card for a high challenge on Willian during Saturday's Premier League game.
Gusto made some slight contact with the ball but proceeded to make firm contact with Willian's shin with his studs.
It looked a nasty one on replay and viewers couldn't believe that the Frenchman stayed on the pitch.
It was the type of challenge we have seen reds given for plenty of times this season with Gusto himself having already received one.
And fans quickly took to social media to hit out at the lack of consistency.
One tweeted: There’s just zero consistency, generally I wouldn’t want this to be a red. But it’s absolutely a red by the standards we’ve seen this season.
Many pointed to the dismissal of Curtis Jones earlier in the season for what was a very similar challenge.
One fan wrote: 'I want someone to tell me the difference between these two tackles that meant Gusto got a yellow and Jones got a red.
'You can’t. The consistency in this league is genuinely appalling.'
