Larne first-team coach Gary Haveron believes momentum is helping to drive the Invermen’s League and Cup hopes.
The reigning champions are one point behind leaders Linfield in the Premiership title race, with Cliftonville also well in the running in what looks like a three-horse race.
On Saturday, they also booked a place in the Irish Cup Quarter-Finals thanks to a 5-0 win over 10-man Glenavon.
It keeps alive their hopes of adding further silverware to last month’s County Antrim Shield success, with Haveron and company hoping to build on a run which hasn’t seen them lose a game inside 90 minutes since September.
“Momentum is massive at this stage of the season,” he said.
“You just want to keep getting three points or keep getting through rounds of Cup competitions and move on to the next one.
“When you’re doing well, you want the next game to come around straight away. We have 11 Cup Finals left in the League, and whoever is going to win the Irish Cup will just be three games away from doing that now.
“So, while we’re glad of games coming thick and fast, we’ve also just had a full week to work on things with the boys in training because it had been a busy schedule of Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday. There’s a lot left to play for and we want to keep pushing on to see what we can achieve.”
