According to Foot Mercato, Thiago Motta is Juventus’ first choice to replace manager Max Allegri come the end of the current campaign.
Whilst Juventus currently sit second in Serie A, performances have not been convincing and following a 2-1 defeat against Napoli, the club’s management are looking to definitively move on from Allegri, who returned to the club in 2021, but is yet to muster a challenge for the Scudetto.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that Thiago Motta wants the PSG job. https://t.co/8GEfqzKwNL
Allegri’s contract runs until 2025, but a replacement will be sought at the end of the season, according to Foot Mercato. Motta, who is excelling at Serie A rivals Bologna is Juventus’ top pick to replace Allegri. Negotiations between the two parties have already begun, and whilst Motta is open to joining Juventus from next season, his full focus is currently still on Bologna, where his contract expires at the end of the season.
Having excelled at Bologna, Motta is seemingly ready for the next challenge. Whilst an offer may not be forthcoming, the Italian is keen on the Paris Saint-Germain job,at least according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who has stated as much. The former PSG midfielder may have to wait a while for the job to become vacant with Luís Enrique currently in the post.
