Stade Rennais’ Arnaud Kalimuendo (21) was coy when questioned about a departure amidst rumours of a transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt.
As per a report from L’Équipe, Kalimuendo is the subject of an offer from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. According to the publication, the German club’s offer is worth a little over €20m. Les Rennais are reportedly not completely opposed to selling Kalimuendo as they look to fund a rebuild of an under-performing club.
Kalimuendo has underwhelmed since signing from Paris Saint-Germain back in the summer of 2022, and there is a possibility that his stint at Roazhon Park could come to an end this month. However, following Rennes’ Coupe de France victory, Kalimuendo was tight-lipped on his uncertain future.
“I’m happy to see that I am sought after, especially by a big club like that (Frankfurt). For now, I’m here. It’s Sunday and I am a Stade Rennais player and I don’t know the future. Only God knows that,” stated the France U21 international. According to L’Équipe Kalimuendo has already agreed on personal terms with Eintracht Frankfrut ahead of a potential switch to Germany.
