Fulham won't close the door on offers for Joao Palhinha that make 'sense', but they'd also like to keep their 'essential' player, amid reported interest from other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool.
That's according to the Cottagers' vice-chairman, Tony Khan, who has admitted if the West London club receives a good offer for the Portuguese midfielder then they might have to think about it, but he really hopes that Palhinha will stay with them at Craven Cottage.
Palhinha came close to completing a move to Bayern Munich last year, but ended up signing a new contract in September to stay with Fulham until 2028 with an option for a further year. The 28-year-old is still getting a lot of attention though, and teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City have all reportedly still got the defensive midfielder on their radar.

Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk (writing for Caught Offside) claimed that Bayern had heard that Liverpool holds a 'concrete interest' in Palhinha, who was the leading tackler in the Premier League last season and looks set to be the same this season as well. Khan is all too aware that other top clubs have their eyes on their star man.
In a chat with talkSPORT, Khan said Palhinha is a big part of Fulham and they're very happy that he decided to stay: "He's a huge part of the core fold, and we love having him here and we want him part of the team as long as possible, we were very happy to extend his contract."
