Fulham have trolled Arsenal on social media by posting a picture of a worried-looking Mikel Arteta following the two side's Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners got off to the worst possible start, conceding inside 60 seconds when Andreas Pereira latched onto a poor Bukayo Saka backpass. It is the third time in the last eight months that the north Londoners have gone 1-0 down at the Emirates Stadium within the first minute of a league match.
The home side did eventually respond, generating a number of chances before club captain Martin Odegaard thought he had equalised, only for the offside flag to be correctly raised due to Kai Havertz's involvement in the build-up. But Arsenal kept knocking on the door before a quick-fire double from Bukayo Saka and substitute Eddie Nketiah gave them the lead with less than 20 minutes to play.
After the full-time whistle, the Cottaggers added insult to injury with a cheeky post on social media. Their official Twitter account shared four images of Arteta with his head in his hands, reacting to Pereira's shot - which resulted in the first goal of the game.
"Obviously when in the first minute you make the mistake we made and give a goal to the opponent, the game becomes much more difficult," he said at full-time. "The reaction straight after that, even in the first half, the situations and chances we generated, we didn’t give anything away. We controlled the game for full periods but we didn’t score the goal.
