Gabriel Jesus injury return date revealed as Arsenal dealt major blow

The camp of Arsenal frontman Gabriel Jesus are targeting a return to fitness for the start of December, according to recent reports. Jesus sustained a hamstring injury last week during his side's 2-1 victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League, forcing him off in the latter stages of the second half.

His issue has occurred after a stunning display from the Brazilian international, which saw him provide an assist for Gabriel Martinelli's opener before doubling his side's lead shortly after the break. Now, the Sun have reported that the 26-year-old’s representatives are hoping that he will make a full return to action next month, after the November international break.

Jesus' time in north London has been plagued with several injuries, missing the best part of four months last term due to a knee injury that was aggravated over the summer, forcing him to miss the first few weeks of this season. When asked for an update on the former Manchester City star's ongoing rehabilitation process on Tuesday, Arteta replied: «With him, I'm not going to put a [timescale] on it because I did it once and got it totally wrong.

»We need to be cautious, treat it in the right way, but he is already pushing. He wants to be back as quick as possible and we need him, so that's great."
